A lovely style of mare who was good enough to win four times up to 1400m, Louisiana Rouge is out of the quality mare RED FOR LOU, winner of nearly $250,000 in stakes and third to DIVINE MADONNA in the Gr 1 Myer Classic. Bred to Exceed and Excel three times, Red For Lou produced Louisiana Rouge and her two brothers LE CHEF, winner of the Magic Millions 2yo Classic, and LE CAP, winner of 16 races and over $350,000 in prizemoney.
Louisiana Rouge has been given an excellent chance to succeed at stud – her first two live foals are CAPITALIST colts, the second of which was bred by Rosemont and will be prepared for the major yearling sales next year. She returned to Capitalist last season and sells in foal.
