Luck Favours’ mother Marcia Proba is a half sister to two of SNITZEL’s best horses in Gr 1 winner SWEET IDEA (sold for $1.6m as a mare) and Arrowfield stallion SHOWTIME (a $1.1m yearling). She herself sold for $325,000 as a broodmare, replicating the large sums paid for members of this immediate family in both the yearling and broodmare markets, examples including –
- Evening Slippers - $1.8m yearling
- Phantom Queen - $440k mare whose yearlings have sold for $360k and $400k
- Surf Poet - $700k mare
- Sweet Sister - $550k mare with a yearling who sold for $500k and is now the stakes winning filly from the Anthony Freedman stable SUPREME IDEA
