Lot 57 - Miss Twiggy (AUS)
SNITZEL half sister to the mother of FASTNET ROCK with huge commercial appeal.
An unraced SNITZEL mare, Miss Twiggy has already shown her ability to throw a correct and attractive horse (despite her own “Snitzel knees”) with her second foal a correct and strong Dissident colt that made $160,000 at the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale to the bid of Gary Moore. Her yearling filly by Pierro was bred by Rosemont and has been retained to race.
The eleventh and final foal of the Group One Newmarket Handicap placegetter GATANA, Miss Twiggy is a half sister to Group One Blue Diamond Stakes place-getter and Group Three Prelude winner PICCADILLY CIRCUS who subsequently earned fame as the mother of champion Australian racehorse and sire FASTNET ROCK.
As the pedigree demonstrates, this is a family that continues to throw stakes horses and as a result, it remains commercially popular with closely related mares in Miss Twiggy’s family covered in 2019 by all the best stallions on offer including SNITZEL, CAPITALIST, AMERICAN PHAROAH, TRAPEZE ARTIST, MORE THAN READY, RUBICK, PIERRO, HELLBENT, VANCOUVER, etc.
Offered dry, Miss Twiggy would suit a commercial breeder and is ready to visit a stallion of your choice from the first day of the breeding season.
Straight forward breeder unfortunately lost the 2019 foal due to an infection and she was subsequently not covered due to being hospitalised with the foal. Miss Twiggy requires minor management of her feet and wears front shoes.
