Young mare from a Godolphin family throwing recent winners.

A descendant of Sheikh Mohammed’s Irish Oaks winner ALYDARESS (a half sister to the dam of CAPE CROSS), Pavonia is a daughter of noted broodmare sire COMMANDS (dam sire of POLITENESS, COSMIC FORCE, ORDER OF COMMAND etc) and has had a promising start to her broodmare career with her first foal (a 2yo colt by Brazen Beau) showing encouraging signs with Gary Portelli after selling at Magic Millions in January last year.

Pavonia’s half brother is the recent impressive Night of Thunder 2yo KUKERACHA from the Chris Waller stable, while Waller also has a smart horse in FLINDERS, a recent Warwick Farm 3yo winner who is out of a half sister to Pavonia.

Pavonia’s most successful sibling is the Shamardal Group Three winning mare CAMEO who remains in the ownership of Godolphin and in recent seasons has visited REDOUTE’S CHOICE, EXCEED AND EXCEL, TEOFILO and LONHRO.
