A $320,000 Karaka yearling, Cool Sheets is by DEHERE, a stallion developing a huge reputation as a broodmare sire following the exploits of horses such as CASTELVECCHIO, NETTOYER, MAID OF HEAVEN, REBEL RAIDER, FORENSICS and American champion CITY OF LIGHT.

Hailing from a strong Kiwi family, Cool Sheets is a half sister to outstanding racehorse VALLEY GIRL, who claimed one of New Zealand’s best races in winning the Open WFA Group One Herbie Dykes Stakes at 2000m as a 3yo filly. Watch here. Retired to stud, her second foal – a filly by SAVABEEL – sold at Karaka this year to Chris Waller for $500,000. She has a Savabeel colt weanling and is in foal to THE AUTUMN SUN.

Cool Sheets herself is away to a fine start to her broodmare career with her only runner to date a winner at her second start. Her second foal is an unraced 3yo filly by DISSIDENT who made $120,000 at Inglis Premier and is in the stable of David Brideoake.
