Spectacular mare SPINNING MEMORIES is being offered as an elite racing and breeding prospect.
Now the winner of six of her 12 starts including Thursday’s Prix du Palais-Royal Gr.3, Spinning Memories is a five time stakes winner.
She won her only start in her native Ireland by five lengths before being sold and relocated to France where she has become one of the finest female sprinters in the country.
At her third start Spinning Memories won the listed Prix Matchem at Saint-Cloud beating subsequent Meydan Zabeel Mile Gr.2 winner Mythical Magic by almost a length.
A start later she won the listed Prix Maurice Zilber on heavy group beating Quaglisaga and Style Presa who won their next starts at stakes level.
When fourth in the Prix Maurice de Gheest Gr.1 on a good track at start seven Spinning Memories chased home Gr.1 winners Advertiser and Brando and defeated Gr.1 winners One Master and Pretty Pollyanna.
Next time out she won the Prix de Meautry Barrier Gr.3 on good ground in 1-08.89 - the fastest running of the race for the past decade. She won by three and a half lengths.
In the Gr.1 Prix de l’Abbaye on very soft ground she finished out of a place but still defeated Gr.1 winners Fairyland and Battaash.
On May 11 this year at her 11th run Spinning Memories cruised to a near two length win in the listed Prix Maurice Zilbert on soft ground.
Spinning Memories rounded out her pre-sale career with a storming near last to first performance in the Prix du Palais-Royal Gr.3 under regular rider Christophe Soumillon.
Trainer Pascal Bary has raised the prospect of running next in the Diamond Jubilee Stakes Gr.1 at Royal Ascot followed by targets including the Prix Maurice de Gheest Gr.1 in August and Prix de la Floret Gr.1 in September.
Spinning Memories’ race record stands at 12 starts for 6 wins, a third and Gr.1 fourth and earnings of €187,890 (approx A$313,937).
Irish bred, Spinning Memories is by Prix Morny Gr.1 winner Arcano and from an unraced Hard Spun mare who is a grandaughter of the outstanding multiple Gr.1 winner Memories of Silver.
