Lot 43 - Same Old Scene (AUS) 

Rathden Bloodstock Services is pleased to offer the three-time winning mare Same Old Scene for auction. Same Old Scene has continued to develop physically as she has gotten older but recently she appears to have lost the zest for racing and is offered as a broodmare ready for next season.

Same Old Scene is by Pierro, the sire of mares of the quality of Arcadia Queen and Pinot, just two of his five Gr.1 winners from 27 Stakes winners to date. Her dam Fast And Sexy (Fastnet Rock) was also a three time winner, once at two, and was placed third in the Gr.1 Champagne Stakes and the Gr.2 Reisling Stakes in her juvenile season. At stud she has also produced the Doomben two-year-old winner Conexy (Nicconi) who started equal favourite at his next start in Listed company.

Her current two-year-old Wild Irish Rover (No Nay Never) is with Mark Newnham and looked unlucky not to break his maiden at Canterbury earlier in the season. Her yearling filly by Capitalist has been retained by her breeder and will enter training with the Waterhouse/Bott yard and she has a Dundeel filly foal and has been covered by Capitalist suggesting there is plenty of upside to the family.
